Founded in 1998, Critical Software is a multinational technology company, specialising in the development of software solutions and the provision of engineering services to support critical and reliable systems, oriented to the safety, mission, and business of enterprises. The company collaborates with international clients in sectors as diverse as space, aeronautics, energy, defence, finance, ecommerce, medical devices, and transportation.

Currently, the company has over 1,000 employees in its offices in Portugal, United Kingdom, and Germany, being one of the few technology companies in the world to have agile and waterfall software development processes classified with CMMI® Level 5. The company has achieved Investors in People Gold status and is certified by B Corp, reflecting its commitment to sustainability, social and environmental issues, and transparency in developing business for the common good.
